Hut Music [ +HM +] *Hut Music* was the initiative from the Editor, with HVHA, to bring the greatest range of music to the widest range of audience in our unique venue We hoped to appeal to all tastes and ages We send out and upload flyers for our music events and reviews are written in our regular newsletter - Hett Happenings - which you can access from the menu on the left margin of this page We are trying to cost our events so as to encourage younger people to come along The table below [ which may need updating, so please bear with me] summarises Hut Music events to date, and those still to look forward to. You can get a flavour by reading the reviews in Hett Happenings [ month and year ] and looking at the flyers available at the foot of this page [ Yes or No ] We mention "Genre" in good faith simply to try to give some idea of what we have hosted and what is coming. Of course people may well have their own ideas about categories and categorising, so, where possible, we also give the website of the artist and indicate if there is video on YouTube [ Yes or No] The website addresses have hyperlinks , so clicking on the address should take you straight to the artist`s own site If you are contacting an artist please give HVHA a mention!
The committee is aware that the programme to date might not have appealed to everyone, particularly the younger people in the village, and we are trying very hard to respond to that, but we really do need you to help us by telling us more about what, and who, you want to hear. Music is, we hope, a way of widening participation for all
The future of *Hut Music* as a concept is presently very much in the balance If you are in a local band, have a friend in a band, or simply like a local band or performer then please let us know so we can look at hosting that music at our unique venue Please don`t worry that “the people on the committee might not like it” – you may be surprised! If you like it then please let us know and we`ll try to put it on
